Terms and Conditions – Free 5-Year Extended Warranty Promotion

Overview:

• From February 1 to May 30, 2026, Volvo Penta is offering free 5-year extended warranty on all Volvo Penta Marine Leisure engines (excludes IPS) purchased through Volvo Penta Dealers.

• In addition, for gasoline engines only, a $1,000 cash back is available with trade in of an existing engine package, including transom shield and stern drive.

• Note this is an Oceania Power initiative and will only be available through participating Queensland Volvo Penta dealers

• Warranty is fully transferable

• IPS packages are not included in the promotion
• Gasoline trade in offer – cash back is processed on the return of the complete engine, drive, transom shield and propellers to Oceania Power

Eligibility

Extended Coverage applies only where:

• The engine package was purchased new from an Authorsied Queensland Volvo Penta Dealer during the Promotional Period;
• Proof of purchase is provided; and
• The engine has been installed, operated, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications.

Coverage Period

The Extended Coverage:

• Commences immediately after the expiry of the standard manufacturer’s warranty (3-years); and
• Extended coverage for the below hours and time duration

What Is Covered

This Warranty covers defective Products. Under this Warranty, a Product is considered defective if it is found, during the limited warranty period, to have an inherent defect in material or workmanship that existed in it at the time of shipment from the relevant Volvo Penta facility. Volvo Penta will either repair or replace defective Products, whichever is decided by Volvo Penta.

Subject to these Terms & Conditions, Extended Coverage applies to:

• All components supplied by Volvo Penta at time of purchase

At our discretion, we will:

• Repair the engine; or
• Replace defective components; or
• Replace the engine with an equivalent model.

What Is Not Covered

This Warranty does not apply to defects that are likely to have been caused by transportation, installation or repairs.

This Warranty does not apply to defects that are likely to have been caused as a result of any of the

following:

• Abnormal use
• Carelessness, misuse
• Competition use or preparation for competition use
• Over or under loading
• Insufficient lubrication
• Cavitation
• Normal wear and tear
• Use of parts other than genuine Volvo Penta parts
• Lack of, insufficient or incorrect maintenance
• Incorrect installation or parameter setting
• Accidents
• Natural phenomenon, including but not limited to, lighting, thunderbolts, flooding or other force
• majeure events, including but not limited to, war uprisings, acts of terror, strikes, widespread
• diseases
• Improper storage
• Corrosion
• Failure to comply with Operator’s Manuals, maintenance instructions, installation instructions or
• any other applicable Volvo Penta instructions
• Alterations or modifications of the Product, including alterations or modifications of software or
• electronic devices
• Repair work (including installation and/or update of software) having been performed by a
• workshop other than a Volvo Penta Business Partner
• Breaking of seals
• Usage in violation of law or for unintended purposes
• The defect having become aggravated due to failure by the driver/operator to take immediate and
• appropriate action after such time as the defect became known or should have become known to
• the driver/operator or after activation of the vessel warning indicator system.

This Warranty does not apply to defects caused by the Product’s combination with engines,

transmissions, or any other mechanical or electronic product or accessory not sold or approved in writing by Volvo Penta.

Maintenance Requirements

To remain eligible for Extended Coverage:

• All servicing must be performed in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule by an authorised Volvo Penta Dealer.
• Service records must be retained and provided upon request.

Failure to meet maintenance requirements may void Extended Coverage.

Changes or Withdrawal

Oceania Power reserves the right to:

• Amend these Terms & Conditions; or
• Withdraw the offer,

provided that any Extended Coverage already granted will continue in accordance with the Terms & Conditions in place at the time of purchase.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of Australian courts.
