Volvo Penta D8 MG is available in two versions: 50 Hz, 1,500 rpm; and 60 Hz, 1,800 rpm. In-line 6-cylinder, marine diesel genset using common-rail fuel injection, overhead camshaft and a twin-entry turbo. Available in F and H class, or with IMO III / EU Stage V utilising SCR.

The Marine Commercial Control (MCC) system from Volvo Penta is a state-of-the-art engine control and monitoring solution designed for marine genset applications. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the marine commercial market MCC is suitable for both electronic and mechanical engines and can be effortlessly incorporated into the ship’s control system.

The MCC system is available for all-speed gensets based on D8, D9, D12, D13 and D16.

The common-rail fuel system contributes to the optimized fuel efficiency, with control module monitoring several parameters that contribute to reducing overall fuel usage and emissions. This also helps reduce noise and vibration.
